  5. APACHE DOS UPDATE
  6.  
  7. These files are the necessary files to update the Aug 1995
  8. DOS version of Apache.  They are not necessary for the Windows 95
  9. compatable version of Apache! This will enable you to play Hind vs
  10. Apache. The files also fix all the bugs fixed by the earlier patches 
  11. including the modem-play difficulties, the mission crash problems,
  12. and others.

  15. First, run the self-extracting archive in a temporary directory
  16. as follows:

  18. patch -d
  19.  
  20. Then you must delete the APACHE.BAT & APACHE95.EXE files
  21. from the APACHE directory on your hard drive. You must
  22. then copy the APACHE.EXE file to that directory.  You must also
  23. copy all the files in the Apache MISSDATA & 3DDATA directories from
  24. the directories created by the patch command the MISSDATA & 3DDATA
  25. Apache directories on your hard drive. The temporary directories and
  26. the downloaded patch, APCHPTCH.EXE, can then be deleted to free up
  27. disk space.
